My bro just back to KK from Perth,
Not with direct flights,
Instead he took his flight separately,
From Perth to KL and then KL to KK,
In between the flight something unlucky happened!
A friend of his had entrusted him to bring his laptop back to KK,
So my bro put the laptop into his luggage and send through cargo,
As soon as my bro arrived at KK,
He realized that the laptop had gone missing,
While other stuffs inside the luggage were still in neat order,
Padlock is still intact, no scratch or whatsoever defects appeared on the luggage!
The luggage which my bro carried is the standard type of travel luggage,
I suspect the thieves had conducted a trick to open a locked luggage,
A simple trick to open any luggages with the use any sharp-pointed things,
Watch -
Based on my bro's several observations,
We suspected the laptop was stolen in between the period -
When the luggage was transported from the plane to KL terminal's luggage pick-up zone...
During his check-in at Perth airport,
His luggage weighted 14kg,
But while check-in at KL airport,
His luggage weight reduced to 11kg,
The assumption of the laptop being stolen at KL is strengthen due to the fact that he is among the last to get his luggage,
Which he had waited for 45mins at the conveyor...
This case happened at Airasia,
Regardless of any airline services,
I advice everyone who travel aboard,
Do not put anything important inside cargo,
And always carry it with you especially your personal belongings!
Do not request for the sticker "fragile" as it hinted sth valuable to thieves!
Use luggage straps to lock your luggage for safer security!
Keep all your itinerary, boarding pass and luggage ticket as precautions!
Buy air travel insurance,
At least you can claim something back in case if something bad happens!
Lastly,
Stay alert at all time!
I'm going to Airasia to launch a report and to see what I can do!
